Commonwealth Games

The family name was well represented at the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne. Peter Blencowe sent me a note about Claire Blencowe, the youngest member of the English diving team Daughter of Phillip and Debra Blencowe of Sheffield, Claire has two brothers who are keen gymnasts; born in 1990, she has her sights set on the up-coming Olympics. Peter also mentioned that a Blinko was swimming for NZ.

Anne Burton sent me a report on Adrian Blincoe who ran for New Zealand in 1500m finals. Adrian is at University USA and aims to do a lot of competition running; he and his father have excelled in cross-country running in NZ.
