Anne Burton is actively making plans for a get-together in Port Macquarie, New South Wales from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 April 2008. This is a wonderful alternative if the 2007 proposal for UK falls through.
When Anne organised a reunion in Griffith NSW for her immediate Blencowe family group about eighty turned up. Bringing in Blinco, Blinko and other Blencowe groups should add considerably to that number; hopefully members from Europe and America would consider making the journey to what is a delightful part of the world. Anne would make suggestions for additional tourist destinations for visitors from out-of-state or overseas.
April 25 is ANZAC Day making it a long weekend in both Oz and NZ. Port Macquarie is an attractive holiday and conference destination ; it is accessible by road or rail from Sydney, about 200 miles to the south. Members from Oz or NZ might prefer to fly direct to Port McQ. Mid-April temperatures this year were land 82°F, sea 72°F; no doubt you can hire a surf board locally!
