Friends visiting from the Argentine told Jill Dudbridge they had been to a pub near High Wycombe run by a Blencowe couple: John and Elizabeth.
A check on the database showed that this must be the John and Elizabeth Blencowe at whose pub in rural Rutland a score of us gathered when we were arranging distribution of the Blencowe book. Subsequently several overseas members stayed there, in an idyllic setting facing a village green complete with duck pond.The new home is the Chequers Inn, Farm Lane, Wheeler End in Buckinghamshire. I look forward to making a visit and to find out if John still brews his excellent Blencowe Beer!
